KindWorks has adopted Sangamore Road in Bethesda, and so we keep the area clean, from MacArthur Boulevard past the shopping center and over to Massachusetts Avenue!
We will also be working with the Little Falls Watershed Alliance to help save trees in the area! We will be removing non-native invasive vines, shrubs and ground covers that are crowding out the native plants that our native birds and butterflies need to survive. This is a great activity for kids ages 10 and up as well as for adults. Seeing a tree emerge from the strangling vines is very satisfying!
Join us on the 2nd Saturday of each January, July and September, from 10am – noon, as we pick up trash and recyclables and help the plant-life in this neighborhood flourish.
We meet at the Starbucks in the Sangamore Shopping Center by 10 am, and leave from there! Come join us – and bring your family, friends and/or friendly dogs!
