Sangamore Road in Bethesda
MoverMoms (KindWorks) participates in the Montgomery County Adopt-A-Road program. In this community activity, we work together to keep Sangamore Road in Bethesda (between MacArthur Boulevard and Massachusetts Avenue) free of litter and debris. In exchange, the County posts a sign saying that our group has adopted this road!
Join us as we walk along the road about three times per year and pick up trash and recyclables from 10 am – noon on the 2nd Saturday of each January, July and September.
We love this project not only as a fun community-building activity, but also as a way to make a positive difference together by keeping this scenic suburban street clean, and by keeping trash out of the storm drains that feed into the Chesapeake Bay.
